A dandelion for a logo has been used many times before & I am most certainly not the first. So why a dandelion? Why would I choose a logo for my photography business with an image that has been used many times before in different shapes & forms?
As some of you may know, I am a Family & Motherhood Photographer. I pride myself in capturing those tender, loving, sweet, true, candid moments of my clients that tell their own unique love story. But my love for the family unit & the love of a mother towards her child/ren goes deeper than just that.
I am married to an amazing husband & we have two beautiful children, but my story was not always like this. When I first found out I was expecting my first child there were so many road blocks and complications surrounding my pregnancy with my personal life that went in full force against what I wanted for myself and my child in my womb.
During those moments, it felt as if my child, whom I had already created a bond with, without I even knowing it, was being forcefully ripped away from me. I felt numb & it felt as if my child was being blown away from me. A dandelion resonated so deeply with me at that very moment.
My first born is my dandelion. With her I learned of my motherly instincts. She taught me how to speak up, how to be emotionally & mentally stronger, & how to defend and fight for those I love! She taught me how to be a mother & I am so blessed & thankful for my strong little dandelion!
So there you have it. My long historic spill of my dino-era life story. Now to the reason for this blog; the dandelion in my logo. As you all know by now, well only those who have read this far, my first born, my dandelion, was the birth to my motherhood & the deep deep love a mother feels in her soul & heart for her children! This is why it made more than perfect sense to include this meaningful piece for my Family & Motherhood Photography business logo!
This is one of the big reasons why I cherish motherhood & the love within a family unit! That selfless love I get to witness & capture during my sessions just fills my heart right up every single time! Motherhood is such an amazing gift from God that most definitely should not be taken for granted!
Now off I go to hug, kiss & tuck in my little ones to bed. Until next time! Everyone have an amazing night & or day for those of you on the other side of the world!
